There’s a lot going on with this case, and as far as specification goes we’re all set.

OMEGA X6 TITAN EXTERNALS:

The OMEGA X6 Titan is definitely not your ordinary case. Weight is out of ordinary too at around 12 kilograms all thanks to the 5mm thick tempered glass panels.

The X6 Titan Mirror Edition features a strong specular reflection. It’s way more reflective compared to the smoked X6 Titan, which in turn gave it a more sophisticated kind of characteristic.

The front panel IO is clean yet features a lot of connectivity options. We have a dual USB 3.0 ports here next to a pair of USB 2.0 ports,while we have an Audio in and out next to the buttons. The left most side features a fan speed rocker directly connected to the internal fan controller.

Simplicity is what OMEGA wants to achieve with this case and they did it smoothly as far as external design goes.

OMEGA X6 TITAN INTERNALS:

The OMEGA X6 supports motherboards up to E-ATX form factor. Internals are roomy and clean enough to build without prejudice.

If you are sick of cases with the front panel IO attached to the cover, then you’ll love the OMEGA X6. The case also features top, front and bottom mounted filters.

One interesting feature the OMEGA X6 has in stow is the cable cover-slash-VGA support. Next to it is the roomy radiator and fan mounts supporting up to a single 360 mm rad and 3x 140 mm fans.

The back is just as clean as a the main compartment. We could see the vertical 2.5″ drive bays here together with the pair of tool free 3.5″ bays while the fan controller is nicely mounted at the top left side of the tray.

The motherboard tray side has ample clearance for cables and features an enlarged tray cutout. The OMEGA X6 also comes with a HALO fan that lights up in red. Read the overview here.

OMEGA X6 FINISHED BUILD:

15 minutes on the clock is all we need to get our parts installed inside the OMEGA X6. It’s just an easy case to work with but there are small issues that you should note – which we will discuss later on.

If you’re looking forward to build a custom loop inside this case, then you’d be more than happy with the mounting clearances. The OMEGA X6 is just roomy!

Rushing the build process never hampered the cable management but I’d like OMEGA to consider providing extra clearance to the vertically mounted drive bays. This one in particular pushed my PSU’s L-type SATA power to its limits.

Building inside the OMEGA X6 is a breeze, although there are a few thing that you should take note. First off, the cable-slash-VGA support cover. It’s a novel feature, but it is not compatible with most graphic cards. Some cards have important components situated near the PCB’s edges so do be careful. An easy fix here is to enable the cover to slide down or upward via the mounting holes or just remove the grooves completely.

Another thing to note is the PCI-E’s bracket mounting area. It’s too small for motherboards with I/O covers so if you happen to have one with more than 2mm of height then you wont be able to insert any cards without removing the board. You have to install the GPU with the motherboard in one swoop.

TEST SETUP AND METHODOLOGY:

Cases are far from the hardest components to test, but it doesn’t mean they are easy enough to deal with. There are just multiple factors required to take into account. That includes the ambient noise, ambient temperature, the enclosure used and the test system’s configuration. With that said, keeping all those things in-check should be paramount to provide the readers an objective and precise result. The test system specifications are laid out below for reference:

The AIDA64 Extreme Edition System Stability Test is used to stress our Intel Core i5 6600K. We specifically selected the CPU, FPU, Cache, and Memory at the stability test’s options. AIDA64 has been chosen due to its inclusion of AVX, AVX2 and FMA – 3 important instructions that will help us push our CPU to its limits.

The ambient temperature is 27°C (±1°C), and the ambient sound level is 34dBA (±1dBA). Our CPU is clocked at 3.9GHz with a voltage of 1.088v as the stock profile. Overclocked profile on the other hand is at 4.4GHz with a 1.248v on the vCore. The temperature of the system is logged with HWiNFO64, and is cross referenced with AIDA64. The sound level is measured by a sound level meter with a foot of distance from the cooler. Results are in Delta T over ambient.

TEMPERATURE AND NOISE:

The OMEGA X6 features a respectable cooling performance. It’s rather great for a case that comes with a single 120 mm fan.

The system noise level is great too but expected higher noise output if you populated all the fan mounts.

THE VERDICT:

The OMEGA X6 Titan Mirror Edition is an excellent case both in features and styling. It is a proper tempered glass case with features and performance figures apt for the price point of 4, 500 Pesos. I am not expecting the OMEGA X6 to be a silent case, nor to feature a great thermal performance. It is OMEGA’s flagship no wonder and it impressed.

There are issues, but those are small ones that could be easily overcome even by the end user. It’s a little shame though since perfection is attainable had those issues been fixed out of the factory.

The OMEGA X6 Titan Mirror Edition is a proper tempered glass case featuring an elegant design and build quality that matches its features. This is a good starting point if you are looking for a tempered glass case to showcase your system.
